Costume Hire
Costume Factory has the largest range of costumes in Melbourne with thousands of costumes to choose from in our five stores. We are open from Monday to Saturday (closed on Sundays and public holidays), but opening hours do vary between the stores so it's worth checking our Trading Hours before you come in. Please note that costume fittings close half an hour before store closing times and it's best to allow at least one hour to spend in the store - it usually takes this long to choose a costume, have a fitting and make a booking.
The photos in our Gallery can help you find the costume that’s right for you! It's only a small sample of what we can do - there are thousands more costumes to choose from in our stores, far too many to include a photo of everything! Because so many costumes go in and out of our stores each day, it's difficult to say which costumes will be available at the time you need them. The best thing to do is call your nearest store before you come in to find out if the costumes you are interested in are available to view and get a quote.
The average cost of hire for a full costume is $80 - $100 for up to 3 days (including a wig and accessories) We also require a security bond, which is refunded when the costume is returned - so long as it is on time and in good condition. You can pay for your hire and your bond by cash, credit card or EFTPOS, and don’t forget to bring in some photo ID!
